Trust Hansen's Emergency Services When You Need It 

The Emergency Department at Hansen Family Hospital is a certified Level IV Trauma Center, providing services to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Each year, our facility cares for more than 5,000 patients ranging from simple injuries and illnesses to critical cardiac events and trauma, motor vehicle accidents. Hansen Family Hospital has the staff, equipment, and resources needed to stabilize serious patients while preparing patients for transfer if it is needed.

Specially trained Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, a Trauma Coordinator, nurses, EMTs, and PCTs (Patient Care Tech) staff the Emergency Services Department at Hansen Family Hospital. The nurses are certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) and BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support).

This highly-skilled team uses their years of experience, combined with the latest technology, to deliver expert care and compassionate support for patients and families when it matters most. Your health is our top priority.

We're proud to provide care to the rural areas of Hardin County. Providing care closeby, we are just 30-60 minutes away for much of the population of Hardin County.

We are a Level IV Trauma Center

As a certified Level IV Trauma Center, our emergency team has been recognized for its ability to handle the most serious levels of care.  From evaluation, diagnosis, and stablization, the skilled team can stabilize major and severe trauma patients, providing advanced trauma life support (ATLS) protocols. 

We also provide 24-hour laboratory coverage, so patients can get accurate results quickly. In the event that you need different care, we have established strong relationships with our partner hospitals [NAME & NAME] to esnure that you get the best care available.  Plus, our outreach program works to educate referring communities about health issues.

Do I need to go to the Emergency Department? 

Emergency Services care for acute or life-threatening illnesses, such as

How long will I have to wait to be seen?

When you arrive, our specially-trained staff will evaluate your condition and determine if you need immediate care. Please be patient as we triage patient, caring for people in the severest need of medical assistance. Be assured, our team will see you as soon as possible. If patients arrive after you with serious injuries, that may impact the order of treatment. We appreciate your patience.
